Consumer health data privacy policy
Draft, 24 September 2026, written for Washington's My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373) and similar US state laws. It adds to our privacy notice. To be checked by a lawyer before launch.
Who we are
Jo's calorie counter is run by Harrowtech.ai. Contact: Settings → Help and feedback in the app.
Health data we collect, and why
Only what you type or choose in the app, to run the features you use:
- Food and drink you log, calorie and nutrient targets: to show your day and your totals.
- Weight, body measurements, and your sex, age, height and activity from the setup questions: for your weight trend, your calorie target and the weekly check-in.
- Exercise and water you log: to show your day.
Where it comes from
From you, in the app. We do not buy data or collect it from other companies.
Who we share it with
- Our web host, which stores your backup on its servers (a service provider acting for us).
- OpenRouter and the AI model it uses (currently from Google), only for a photo or text you choose to send to AI logging. No other health data is sent.
We do not sell health data, share it for advertising, or use it to build profiles.
Your rights

- Withdraw consent: delete your account at any time.
- Ask us: use Settings → Help and feedback in the app to confirm what we hold, get the list of who we shared it with, or appeal a decision. We answer within 45 days.
